Donate Office and Accommodation Furniture

At Refugee Pathways and Integration Canada Inc. (RefPIC), a federally incorporated nonprofit (Corporation No. 1612970-6) and a registered Canadian charity (Registration No. 766957625RR0001), our mission is to advance the rights, dignity and self-reliance of refugees, displaced persons and host communities by delivering comprehensive services that connect urgent relief with long-term solutions. We provide education, counseling and a full range of support, including employment pathways, access to affordable housing, immigration assistance, orientation to Canadian culture and life, and humanitarian aid in crisis-affected regions. Whether working in Canada or internationally, we strive to help people move from displacement toward stability, opportunity and a true sense of belonging.
Furnishing program spaces with quality furniture is essential to creating safe, functional, and restorative environments for those we serve. Whether used in administrative offices, transitional shelters, education centres, or wellness hubs, donated furniture enhances the physical conditions where dignity, care, and support are provided. Each donation helps reduce operational costs while strengthening the quality and accessibility of our services.
What We Accept
We welcome new or gently used furniture in clean and safe condition, suitable for residential or institutional settings. Examples include:
• Office desks, workstations, and filing cabinets
• Office chairs, visitor seating, and conference tables
• Beds, mattresses, bunk frames, and dressers
• Dining tables, chairs, and storage units
• Couches, armchairs, and soft seating
• Bookshelves, cubbies, and modular storage
• Classroom furniture and training tables
We are particularly grateful for bulk or facility-grade donations from hotels, institutions, corporate offices, or property managers that are closing or undergoing renovations.
How Furniture Are Used
Furniture donations are allocated to support the operations of our program facilities in Canada and internationally. This includes setting up workspaces for service delivery, equipping shelters and dormitories, furnishing classrooms and training areas, and improving the functionality of drop-in centres and community hubs. Every item supports a program aligned with our charitable mandate.
Tax Receipts and Valuation
Charitable tax receipts are issued for accepted donations, valued according to their fair market value. We use retail comparisons, donation valuation guides, or third-party assessments in accordance with CRA requirements.
Donor Recognition and Visibility
We acknowledge in-kind donors through our website and in applicable field reports or visual communications. Donors contributing larger sets of furnishings or branded items may be recognized through plaques or signage at the program site, depending on context and consent.

Your Furniture Can Make a Space Feel Like Home
A desk can become a place for learning. A bed can offer rest. A table can bring people together. By donating furniture, you help us create environments where displaced individuals and families can rebuild with dignity and purpose.
