What We Do
Programs That Protect, Empower, and Rebuild Lives

Refugee Pathways and Integration Canada Inc. (RefPIC) works to advance the rights, dignity, and opportunities of refugees and displaced persons through coordinated services delivered in Canada and internationally. Our mission spans legal, social, economic, and humanitarian dimensions, ensuring that individuals are not only safe but able to rebuild their lives with purpose and belonging.
In Canada, RefPIC provides holistic integration support tailored to the lived realities of refugees and displaced persons. We support access to formal education and complementary learning pathways that empower individuals to reclaim their futures. We promote economic inclusion by preparing people for the Canadian labour market and supporting participation in labour mobility programs such as the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP).
We offer targeted assistance to those facing systemic barriers like missing documentation, financial hardship, or complex immigration processes. We help individuals and families secure safe, affordable housing, and provide coordinated wraparound support to ensure long-term stability. Our services include orientation to Canadian culture and everyday life to ease the transition, as well as culturally responsive counselling and mental health and psychosocial support to foster healing, resilience, and well-being.
Our Canadian services are designed to complement, not duplicate, existing government systems. We fill critical service gaps to ensure that no one is left behind in the integration process. Internationally, RefPIC responds to displacement and humanitarian emergencies by providing essential services grounded in globally recognized humanitarian standards. Our work aligns with the Sphere Standards and the Global Compact on Refugees, ensuring our actions are anchored in protection, dignity, and resilience. Our programs support access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), emergency shelter and non-food items, food security and nutrition, basic health care, and civilian protection. These services are grounded in humanitarian principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, and independence.
Whether in Canada or in displacement settings abroad, our goal is the same—to protect lives, restore dignity, and build pathways to sustainable futures. The program areas listed below reflect the full scope of our work. Each link will take you to a dedicated page with further detail on our ongoing services.
