At Refugee Pathways and Integration Canada Inc. (RefPIC), a federally incorporated nonprofit (Corporation No. 1612970-6) and a registered Canadian charity (Registration No. 766957625RR0001), our mission is to advance the rights, dignity and self-reliance of refugees, displaced persons and host communities by delivering comprehensive services that connect urgent relief with long-term solutions. We provide education, counseling and a full range of support, including employment pathways, access to affordable housing, immigration assistance, orientation to Canadian culture and life, and humanitarian aid in crisis-affected regions. Whether working in Canada or internationally, we strive to help people move from displacement toward stability, opportunity and a true sense of belonging.

Reliable power is essential to deliver quality humanitarian services. Whether operating a mobile health clinic, running a skills training centre, refrigerating vaccines, or conducting night-time safety patrols in displacement settings, stable electricity can mean the difference between continuity and collapse. Your donation of generators, solar panels, batteries, or hybrid power systems helps us power mission-critical programs with safety, resilience, and sustainability.

What We Accept

We welcome new or gently used power solutions that are fully functional, safe, and compatible with institutional or field-based humanitarian use. These include:

  • Portable or stationary gas/diesel generators (5kW and above)

  • Solar panels, charge controllers, and inverters

  • Deep-cycle batteries and battery banks

  • Hybrid energy systems for off-grid settings

  • Solar-powered refrigeration or lighting units

  • Wiring, cabling, and power distribution panels

  • Solar lanterns and mobile phone charging stations

We may also accept large-scale commercial solar systems, provided they are documented, safe, and feasible for transport and deployment.

How Donations Are Used

Donated power systems are assigned to programs where uninterrupted electricity is critical. In Canada, these may support temporary shelters, remote outreach, or stabilization sites. Internationally, they allow us to operate mobile clinics, nighttime learning spaces, food preservation stations, and administrative offices in off-grid areas. All donations are matched to operational need and deployed exclusively for charitable use.

Tax Receipts and Fair Market Valuation

We issue official donation receipts based on the fair market value of accepted items, in accordance with CRA guidelines. Valuations may be supported by market comparisons, original purchase documentation, or third-party assessments.

Donor Recognition and Visibility

We publicly acknowledge equipment donors through our website and, where applicable, on the units themselves. Major contributions may be featured in field reports or branded on infrastructure such as solar hubs or generator stations, based on mutual agreement and operational context.

How to Donate

To donate a generator, solar kit, or other energy system, please contact us at admin@refugeecanada.org or call (437) 566-2789. Supporting documents or photos may be faxed to (416) 352-5361, or submitted through our secure online intake form. We coordinate pickup within Canada and provide customs guidance for international shipping.

Powering Programs, Empowering People

A generator can ensure a life-saving vaccine stays cold. A solar lamp can light a classroom for learners after dark. A hybrid system can keep an entire training centre running off-grid. When you donate power equipment, you help sustain our capacity to serve where needs are urgent and infrastructure is lacking.
