Donate Storage Space to Help Us Protect and Deliver Lifesaving Aid

At Refugee Pathways and Integration Canada Inc. (RefPIC), a federally incorporated nonprofit (Corporation No. 1612970-6) and a registered Canadian charity (Registration No. 766957625RR0001), our mission is to advance the rights, dignity and self-reliance of refugees, displaced persons and host communities by delivering comprehensive services that connect urgent relief with long-term solutions. We provide education, counseling and a full range of support, including employment pathways, access to affordable housing, immigration assistance, orientation to Canadian culture and life, and humanitarian aid in crisis-affected regions. Whether working in Canada or internationally, we strive to help people move from displacement toward stability, opportunity and a true sense of belonging.
Delivering timely humanitarian aid requires more than compassion and logistics. It also demands space. Secure, accessible storage facilities help us safely receive, organize, and dispatch donations of furniture, equipment, medical supplies, relief goods, and other high-impact items. By donating unused or underutilized warehouse or storage space, you provide the infrastructure that allows our teams to respond faster and more effectively to refugee needs.
What We Need
We are currently seeking short-term or long-term storage arrangements in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Durham Region, and within a 50 km radius of Oshawa. Ideal storage spaces include:
• Indoor warehouse bays or storage units (dry, secure, accessible)
• Outdoor fenced storage yards for weather-resistant items (e.g., containers, vehicles)
• Climate-controlled rooms for sensitive materials such as medical supplies or electronics
• Shared or surplus commercial space available for part-time or charitable use
• Vacant retail or industrial properties awaiting lease that could be temporarily activated
We welcome donations of space from businesses, real estate owners, logistics firms, property managers, and community institutions willing to support our humanitarian supply chain.
How Donated Space Is Used
Storage facilities are used exclusively for charitable purposes. These include receiving and staging donated in-kind goods, preparing outbound shipments, and safeguarding program materials prior to distribution. Whether storing hospital beds, computers, vocational kits, or emergency bedding, every square foot supports a broader system of care and delivery that benefits vulnerable people.
Tax Receipts and Fair Market Valuation
We issue official donation receipts for in-kind contributions of space, in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency guidelines. Valuation may be based on comparable commercial rates, lease histories, or appraisal where applicable. Our team will support donors in documenting fair market value.
Donor Recognition and Visibility
Facility donors will be acknowledged on our website and in annual donor reports. For long-term or high-value space contributions, we may offer additional visibility, including signage opportunities, program naming rights, or public partnership profiles—tailored to the donor’s preferences and in line with charitable best practices.
How to Donate
If you have storage space to contribute—whether short-term, seasonal, or ongoing—please contact us at admin@refugeecanada.org or call (437) 566‑2789. Photos, site details, or inquiries may also be faxed to (416) 352‑5361. Our team will coordinate a site visit, assess suitability, and work with you to finalize donation terms. We welcome facilities of various sizes and configurations.
Every Square Foot Counts
Storage space may seem ordinary, but in our world, it’s a lifeline. It is the difference between delay and delivery, between overwhelmed capacity and strategic response. When you donate space, you help us shelter our supplies—so we can better serve those who need protection most.
