Donate Farm Equipment to Grow Livelihoods and Food Security

At Refugee Pathways and Integration Canada Inc. (RefPIC), a federally incorporated nonprofit (Corporation No. 1612970-6) and a registered Canadian charity (Registration No. 766957625RR0001), our mission is to advance the rights, dignity and self-reliance of refugees, displaced persons and host communities by delivering comprehensive services that connect urgent relief with long-term solutions. We provide education, counseling and a full range of support, including employment pathways, access to affordable housing, immigration assistance, orientation to Canadian culture and life, and humanitarian aid in crisis-affected regions. Whether working in Canada or internationally, we strive to help people move from displacement toward stability, opportunity and a true sense of belonging.
Agricultural recovery is foundational to self-reliance. For displaced families and communities, the ability to grow food, cultivate land, and manage smallholder farms is central to rebuilding both dignity and economic security. Donations of farm equipment help us establish and support community-based agriculture, skills development in agri-business, and food security interventions that serve vulnerable populations. From training plots in Canada to rural cooperatives abroad, these tools make cultivation possible where it otherwise would not be.
What We Accept
We welcome the donation of safe, functional, and operational farm equipment suitable for small- to mid-scale agricultural use. These include:
• Tractors and cultivators• Ploughs, harrows, and seeders
• Irrigation pumps, tanks, and hose systems
• Hand tools such as hoes, rakes, and spades
• Motorized tillers and weeders
• Harvesting tools and small-scale threshers
• Greenhouse kits and tunnel houses
• Livestock care and feeding equipment
• Food storage bins, silos, and grain sacks
• Solar-powered irrigation and agricultural technology
• Agricultural protective gear and planting materials
• Agricultural training kits and classroom models
We also accept surplus or decommissioned items from agricultural colleges, rural programs, co-ops, and equipment suppliers, provided the items are safe and relevant for community or instructional use.
How Donations Are Used
Farm equipment is deployed through livelihood and food security programs across both Canadian and international operations. In Canada, donated tools support agricultural training and transitional livelihood programs for refugee youth and new arrivals. Internationally, equipment helps us strengthen local production systems, build cooperative farming enterprises, and stabilize food access in displacement-affected regions. Every item is allocated according to programmatic needs and is never used for commercial purposes.
Tax Receipts and Fair Market Valuation
We provide official charitable donation receipts in accordance with CRA regulations. Valuation is based on fair market value and may be supported by equipment appraisals, supplier benchmarks, or market references. For higher-value machinery or bulk donations, we work with donors to ensure proper documentation.
Donor Recognition and Visibility
Donors of agricultural equipment are advancing long-term community resilience. Recognition may be offered through our website, reports, or signage in supported training fields and cooperatives. Institutional donors of full-scale systems or branded contributions may be eligible for naming opportunities, based on scope and relevance.
