Build Your Career With Us: Jobs and Internships at RefPIC

At Refugee Pathways and Integration Canada Inc. (RefPIC), we believe that meaningful work drives meaningful change. Our organization is powered by individuals who are deeply committed to advancing the rights, dignity, and potential of displaced people, across Canada and around the world.

Whether you’re launching your career or looking to grow as a changemaker, joining RefPIC means more than finding a job. It means stepping into purpose. We work across the humanitarian spectrum: offering education, psychosocial support, legal navigation, affordable housing, employment integration, and emergency relief. In Canada, our programs serve refugees and vulnerable newcomers working to rebuild their lives. Internationally, our teams operate in some of the most complex crisis settings, from Sub-Saharan Africa to the Middle East and Southeast Asia, grounded in global protection standards and powered by community-led solutions.

Working at RefPIC means joining a collaborative, multicultural environment that prizes integrity, resilience, and innovation. Staff members gain hands-on experience across sectors while contributing directly to transformative outcomes. Many roles come with competitive wages, flexible work arrangements, and professional growth opportunities, including international secondments through our global partnerships.

For Canadian citizens and permanent residents, internships and staff positions at RefPIC are a springboard into careers in social services, international development, public policy, and refugee protection. You’ll build skills in program coordination, trauma-informed care, intercultural communication, and community engagement capabilities increasingly sought across nonprofit and government sectors.

For refugees and newcomers, joining RefPIC through paid internships, placements, or mentorship pathways creates a platform for meaningful Canadian work experience. Participants expand their networks, gain real-world confidence, and play an active role in strengthening the very communities they now call home. Many placements are supported by programs such as the Federal Internship for Newcomers (FIN) or similar bridging initiatives. Our mentorship model helps individuals transition from internship to long-term employment with confidence and clarity.

We also welcome co-op students, graduate researchers, and international fellows interested in exploring the intersection of migration policy and frontline practice. Whatever your role, your voice and contributions matter. You won’t just observe, you’ll engage, act, and grow. We strongly encourage applications from people with lived experience of displacement, as well as members of Indigenous, racialized, 2SLGBTQ+ communities, and persons with disabilities. Building a workforce that reflects the diversity and strength of our communities is not only important, it’s essential to our mission.
