Become a Community Ambassador: Bridge Voices, Build Belonging

Becoming a Community Ambassador with Refugee Pathways and Integration Canada Inc. (RefPIC) is an opportunity to stand for dignity, inclusion, and hope at a time when these values need active champions.

Ambassadors do more than represent an organization, they build understanding, foster connection, and help make refugee integration not only possible, but personal. This is a role grounded in human relationship. Ambassadors act as trusted community messengers, bridging the gap between displaced individuals and the societies they seek to join.

Whether you are sharing your own migration journey or helping neighbors understand the importance of refugee rights, your voice has the power to open minds, shift perceptions, and encourage meaningful action. Ambassadors serve in a variety of spaces, from school assemblies and public forums to houses of worship, professional gatherings, and social media platforms. In every setting, your presence helps make displacement real, relatable, and relevant to those around you.

You bring clarity to complexity and compassion to conversation. What makes this role so effective is its authenticity. Many of our Ambassadors are refugees, newcomers, professionals, or educators who have lived through or witnessed displacement firsthand. Your story doesn’t need to be perfect, it needs to be honest. That honesty builds trust, and trust leads to understanding, empathy, and solidarity.

The goals of our Ambassador program are clear: to raise awareness about the causes and realities of displacement, to promote the mission and impact of RefPIC, and to inspire others to take part, through learning, volunteering, or giving. Ambassadors also help share real stories of transformation: children reentering classrooms, families reunited, and communities strengthened through diversity.

RefPIC supports Ambassadors every step of the way. We offer training, public speaking tools, educational resources, and ongoing mentorship. Whether you’re a student, professional, retiree, or community leader, we’ll help you find your voice and share it with confidence and clarity.

Your journey begins with a single step, perhaps attending an event, joining a volunteer program, or simply reaching out with a question. We’ll guide you through orientation and help identify the right setting for your contribution.

The program is active in Canada and internationally, with Ambassadors representing RefPIC in places as varied as local settlement events and regional diaspora workshops. Refugees are defined not by their past, but by their strength and their future. As a Community Ambassador, you help others recognize that resilience. You shift the narrative from fear to compassion, from division to inclusion. You’re not just elevating our work, you’re helping shape a movement rooted in humanity, respect, and shared purpose.
