Donate Household Appliances to Support Dignified and Functional Program Spaces

At Refugee Pathways and Integration Canada Inc. (RefPIC), a federally incorporated nonprofit (Corporation No. 1612970-6) and a registered Canadian charity (Registration No. 766957625RR0001), our mission is to advance the rights, dignity and self-reliance of refugees, displaced persons and host communities by delivering comprehensive services that connect urgent relief with long-term solutions. We provide education, counseling and a full range of support, including employment pathways, access to affordable housing, immigration assistance, orientation to Canadian culture and life, and humanitarian aid in crisis-affected regions. Whether working in Canada or internationally, we strive to help people move from displacement toward stability, opportunity and a true sense of belonging.
Equipping program spaces with reliable household appliances enhances comfort, functionality, and dignity for those we serve. Whether used in transitional accommodations, community support centres, training facilities, or operational hubs, these appliances help create safe and stable environments where services can be delivered efficiently and with care. In-kind donations of new or gently used appliances reduce operational costs while improving daily life for program participants.

We welcome functional, clean, and safe household appliances in good working order, including:
• Refrigerators and freezers• Electric or gas stoves and ovens
• Microwaves and countertop cookers
• Dishwashers
• Washers and dryers• Water dispensers and kettles

How Appliances Are Used
Household appliances are deployed across program sites to support core activities consistent with our charitable mandate. This includes maintaining hygienic facilities, preparing meals, storing perishables, managing shared housing spaces, and supporting overall well-being. Appliances may be installed in temporary shelters, educational spaces, recovery facilities, or community centres—always in support of dignified care and efficient operations.
Tax Receipts and Valuation
We issue official charitable donation receipts based on the fair market value of accepted items. Valuation is determined using available price benchmarks, third-party appraisals, or similar tools, in full compliance with CRA requirements for in-kind contributions.
Donor Recognition and Visibility
Donors may be acknowledged on our website and in select program reports or physical spaces where equipment is deployed. Recognition is tailored to the nature of the donation and the donor’s preference.
